Where is good to eat in Plumstead...my new series inspired by the odd comment that I've seen in other blogs about places to eat.
I don't foresee this being a long list of places as our options are limited. But I will probably venture into neighbouring territories in the borough as I am sure like us, you all like to get out once in a while.
For starters, let's take a slight step outside of Plumstead and go for the best view, you can't do worse that going for lunch up to Oxleas Wood. I've had a lovely coffee there and some cakes. The menu seems extensive though I have yet to try a main. But take your food outside and soak up that view.
For the lazy or time limited, there is even a handy carpark.

Fairy Cakes!
I went all W.I. this week and made fairy cakes for the playgroup's Easter Hunt. All I can say is that I have a lot to learn about icing.
Hopefully the kids enjoyed my efforts. I know I enjoyed the batch I kept at home and covered in butter icing.
Now I must start that diet soon and look at ways to ensure me and mine don't have butter-induced heart attacks.
For those who like all things cakey, check out the Cake Shop link that a mate just sent me. Yum yum yum!

new shop!?
So the old Right Move shop is now a computer repair shop.
Must admit I was a tad disappointed. Was hoping for a shiny new eaterie as there is a defo lack around here.
But would we want a starbucks or cafe nero around here? If we did have one, I would prefer it to have a view of the Common and have space for my pushchair. Ah no such luck.:(
